Here is a small video of my shack. Pictured is my Icom 7700, Yaesu FT-847 and Icom 756 Pro 2. Heard is audio while tuning on 40m during the tail end of the ARRL Intl DX contest. Eyes on stormy skies

The sky comes free. Last week, a full moon filled the winter sky. On a clear, moonless night, at least a thousand stars can be seen. In spring, during the heightened storm season, identifying clouds in that same sky can save lives.

Skywarn training class to be held March 17

At last year's Skywarn training, National Weather Service meteorologist Gary Garnet declared that he does not want weather spotters to report "severe lightning." "If you call and report severe lightning, I will hunt you down," he quipped.
